This album makes reference to the “Colônia” a mental hospital in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil where over 60.000 lives were taken by the society and its leaders who for many decades remained in silence, mute and blind for those who only needed a proper medical assistance and our support as a human being.
When I first knew about this history, I instantly felt the need to do at least something to remember this ashamed event which occurred in my country.
